Plan B: figure out how to wear a scarf and play with some bright colors.
The biggest problem with wearing a scarf was how to pull it off without looking irredeemably foolish, as the temperatures are well into the 80s right now. I decided a light chiffon scarf would be a good way to introduce scarves into my wardrobe.
I wore this outfit to class, where I usually wear two jackets at a time to deal with the frigid, bottom-of-the-library-so-it's-on-full-blast AC. I figured the scarf would be functional in this environment. I stowed the cardi and scarf in my bag during my walk to class so I didn't have to worry about heatstroke. (Yay for tropical-weather-friendly layering!)

Your scarf works so well with your cardigan and the pin is such a sweet touch! =)

@Kileen - thank you! This is my first scarf, but definitely not my last. :)
ReplyDelete@Nnenna - A few months ago I would have not even thought about pairing these bright colors, but I love this combo. :)

I love the bright punchy color combo here! I have no idea what a Moonin is either, but he looks like Totoro's mailman.

ReplyDeleteIt turns out Moomins are trolls ... and here I've always thought they were hippos who moved way up north. :)
Purple and red.. my favorite colors. You rock it well too!
